todays success blocked by yesterdays failure

i recently preached this message in our church and the response was incredible, i thought it might blog well for everyone so here are some of the highlights.....

people fail because of learned behavior. It's so hard to step up and try something new when you've failed before, and the what if's take over. "what if i don't make it", or "what if i fail again". the "what if's " are the enemies greatest tools, it delays the success and destiny of so many. Judges 3:31 says this, 31. and after him was Shamgar the son of Anath, which slew of the Philistines six hundred men with an Ox Goad; and he also delivererd Israel..... Shamgar killed 600 men with a piece of farm equipment.... he didn't wait until he had an aresenal of weapons he started with what he had...... Success comes when you start with what you have..... God came to Moses and told him to tell Pharoh to let His people go..... and Moses came with a boat load of excuses.....read Exodus 4:2-4.... God asked him what he had....then told him what to do....then showed him how to react....... we as the church need to take an inventory of what we have....allow God to show us how to use it.....and then put our hand to it.....GOD CAN USE ANYTHING.....

i like what Abraham Lincoln said.... "with out God I cannot succeed"..... "With God I cannot fail"

Psalms 37:5 says.... commit thy way unto the Lord, trust also in Him, and He shall bring it to pass......

i believe the church needs to commit more...... more of our time... more of our abilities.... and serve more.....

I'll end this blog with this..... If we will commit..... God will bring IT.....

What is it..... the success you so desire in your life.....

God bless.... and may you walk in His purpose for you life....

lemley speaks

we live in a society today where this generation is doing anything and everything to fit in. I've had the opportunity to criss cross the Untied States and speak in America's public schools, and i know first hand the identity this generation seeks. I've talked to those with spiked hair.....purple hair....athletes....band members.....computer techs.....all different kinds of young people from all walks of life. They are all saying the same thing in general PLEASE AFFIRM ME. I wouold like to challenge all parents that might be reading this to take time to spend with your kids. you don't have to try and figure them out, just listen. It doesn't matter what you did as a kid (mom's and dad's) what matters is that your interested in what THEIR DOING as your kids. You don't have to agree with them, but you do need to listen. I've found there is a purpose for every individual in life, and they are just testing the waters to see where they fit. I know it may seem weird and off the wall, but if you will just take a few minutes and have a coke with your kids and let them talk, don't try to fix anything, just listen, you would be surprised how much they will open up. It's a challenge to all parents, and kids if your reading this, be patient with your mom and dad, believe it or not, they're still trying to figure things out in life as well........

God bless,
Craig Lemley
